Jess is a Massachusetts native who moved to Arizona in 2019 to attend Midwestern University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. She has always wanted to be a veterinarian, and her love of animals was fueled by her various pets as a child. She had pet guinea pigs, rabbits, gerbils, rats, hamsters, parakeets, finches, aquarium fish, and of course, dogs and cats. She rode and showed horses throughout high school, then went to college and earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Before moving to Arizona, Jess spent two years working as a technician in a specialty hospital where her passion for emergency and critical care medicine was found. When she isn’t in class, working or studying, Jess enjoys gardening, swimming, hiking, walking her dog Suki and snuggling with her cat Oreo.
